When we speak of Palestine<\/strong>, we\u2019re not just talking about land. We\u2019re talking about legacy, faith, and an unbroken thread of truth that stretches across centuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his recent talk, \u201cSacred Roots: A Visual History of Palestine,\u201d Dr Waleed Hakeem shed light on the deep, intertwined history of Islam and Palestine, guiding us to see beyond headlines and uncover the sacred wisdom that lies beneath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Lesson From the Past<\/strong><\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n

One of the most powerful reminders from the session was \u201cWe don\u2019t want Palestine to become another Andalusia.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For 800 years<\/strong>, Andalusia was a thriving centre of Islamic civilisation, until it fell under Spanish rule. Muslims were exiled, forced to convert, and stripped of their language, symbols, and identity. What remained was silence<\/strong>. Islam disappeared from Spain for nearly 5 centuries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lesson is clear\u2014 when faith and history are forgotten, oppression takes root.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Palestine: A Land of Truth and Test<\/strong><\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Once home to more than 30 villages, the Hula Valley in Palestine now stands as a reminder of what was lost and destroyed <\/strong>in the name of false claims and political rewriting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Waleed emphasised that the Zionist narrative asserting ancient ownership of Palestine contradicts even their own scriptures. True history cannot be erased<\/strong>\u2014 it testifies to those who lived, prayed, and built there for generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Truth Beyond Borders<\/strong><\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Even archaeological findings challenge fabricated narratives. As Dr. Waleed shared, two Jewish professors themselves confirmed that no temple exists beneath Masjid al-Aqsa<\/strong>, dispelling one of the main arguments used to weaken its foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This isn\u2019t a struggle between Muslims and Jews, but between truth and falsehood<\/strong>. And in every faith, there are those who stand for justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Palestine as an Amanah<\/em><\/strong><\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Waleed reminded us that our reward lies in our intention<\/strong>. Our collective intention today should be to become ambassadors<\/strong> of Palestine, to gain wisdom that leads to meaningful action, to inspire the next generation, and to never let history fade into silence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Palestine isn\u2019t just a cause. It is an amanah<\/em>\u2014 a trust we hold through knowledge, advocacy, and faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
